INGREDIENTS

2 x 6oz Fishrman’s Market ahi tuna steaks

1/2 cup sesame seeds

3 tbsp oil for frying (peanut, canola, or vegetable)

Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS

Pat the ahi tuna steaks dry and lightly season them with salt and pepper on all sides.

Spread the sesame seeds on a flat plate. Coat all sides of the tuna steaks in the sesame seeds, pressing them gently to adhere.

In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it just begins to smoke.

Carefully place the coated tuna steaks into the pan and sear for about 30 seconds on each side, or until golden.

Let the tuna rest for 2 minutes, then slice thinly and serve.
