Lobster is best when you steam or boil it first. You’ll know it’s cooked when it turns red – all lobsters turn red when they’re cooked. We also think it’s absolutely amazing when served simply with garlic or herbed butter.

Fishmonger tips: When buying live lobster make sure they are active, with long feelers, avoid the docile ones.

Lobster is a rich source of copper, selenium, zinc, phosphorus Vitamin B12, magnesium Vitamin E and Omega 3 fatty acids.

Selenium helps with thyroid health and the Omega 3 fatty acids benefit mental health. Lobster also has some of the highest amounts of copper of any food, which is great because copper works with iron and helps to prevent anemia.

Fun fish fact: Lobsters can live up to 100 years and they can self regenerate! They can self-amputate a claw during the molting process and it grows back. Yes, Lobsters retain the vitality and strength of youth regardless of their age.
