Fisherman’s Market spot prawn recipe

Serves: 2-4


  • 1-2 lbs BC spot prawns (pre split shells for easy to open prawns once cooked) from your local Fisherman’s Market
  • 1tbsp butter 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 2 tbsp shallots, diced 
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine


  1. Heat butter in a pan at medium high heat.
  2. Saute your garlic and shallots until they sweat in the pan. Add in spot prawns and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Then add in white wine and cook for another 45 seconds.
  4. After 45 seconds pull pan from heat, cover with a lid, and steam finish the prawns for 2-3 minutes.
