INGREDIENTS
-
1 fillet of salmon (1.75 to 2 lbs)
-
1/4 cup tamari (or low-sodium soy sauce)
-
1/4 cup water
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
2 tbsp honey
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp fresh ginger (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)
-
1 tsp diced garlic (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
DIRECTIONS
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
-
Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking tray.
-
In a small bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients. Use a pastry brush to coat the fillet thoroughly with the sauce. Be sure not to leave too much excess sauce on the pan as the brown sugar may burn.
-
Bake the salmon for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven.
-
Preheat your broiler to 450°F. Once preheated, place the salmon under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
-
Remove the salmon from the oven. Serve with your choice of vegetables or shred it into rice.
