Soy-Ginger Glazed Sablefish

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 x 6oz Fisherman’s Market sablefish portions

  • 1/2 cup sushi soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup plum sake

  • 1/3 cup white sugar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp ginger, minced

  • Finely chopped green onions (for garnish)

  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare Sauce: Mix all ingredients (except the fish) in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer until reduced by half and thickened.

  2. Broil Sablefish: Brush the sauce over the sablefish portions and broil for 3 minutes. Remove from the oven, brush again, and repeat 2 more times for a total cook time of 9-12 minutes.

  3. Garnish: Top the cooked sablefish with finely chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
